Mumbai Event Radar
Find a local tech event without scanning every listing.
A static event-discovery tool by Shubham Sahu that collects free, in-person Mumbai tech listings from Luma’s public Discover feed and builds a filterable page and weekly digest.
Deployed independent discovery tool; listings sourced from Luma, not an event organizer.
What I built
Local talks, workshops and builder meetups are scattered across event pages. I wanted one view with useful filters and a direct path to the original listing.
- Built a Node.js collector that filters public event listings by location, date, free entry and tech-related categories.
- Generated a static page with this-week, talks, food and multi-day filters, plus links to original Luma registration pages and Google Calendar.
- Prepared a weekly digest that users can choose to share through WhatsApp; opening the tool does not send messages or register for events.
- Kept the original event listing as the authority: descriptions and keyword tags can be incomplete, and availability or admission requirements can change.
Tools: Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, GitHub Actions.
